the first step towards confidence is not being afraid to be ugly
once you get over the fear of being unattractive and stop equating beauty with other good things in life (friends, love, happiness) it’s a lot easier to love yourself unconditionally
your job is not to sit around and be pretty and easy on everyone else’s eyes
your job is to do whatever the fuck you want and look however the fuck you want while doing it

Wow I actually feel better about myself nowThe ‘magic’ of photoshop and airbrushing
SO IMPORTANT TO SEE.
Whoah. The second one is actually insane.
The jennifer lawrence one is actually disgusting. They are not smoothing out her skin or adding shadows to her face, they’re making her look anorexic. Which is absolutely awful.

When I look at this model, I see that though she may not be as skinny as other models, she’s proportionate and shapely. More than that, I see that she looks stylish, fierce and beautiful.
My roommate doesn’t always like how she looks compared to other girls, because she’s not as skinny. However, I notice that she’s still proportionate and shapely. More than that, I see that she’s stylish (even if her style is completely her own), strong, fierce, fun, and most of all, beautiful.
Ugly? No, because I don’t care what they look like, and I don’t care what people say; I think these two are beautiful. Honestly, just look at they way they’re smiling; they are so in love and so happy, and that’s what really matters. That’s what makes them beautiful. And they don’t need anyone else’s approval.
